Why AI vendor comparison is different

A four-step method
1. Write the requirement in plain language
Name the job to be done, the users, and any hard constraints (residency, certifications, on-prem). Keyword lists hide the actual need.
2. Match vendors to that requirement
Pull candidates from a curated catalogue and, if the niche is thin, from the live web. Include a vendor that is not in the catalogue by pasting its website.
3. Score the same criteria for every vendor
Security, compliance, pricing, integrations and model approach, weighted the way your organisation actually decides — not the way a vendor demo is sequenced.
4. Export a record the sign-off chain can read
